President Roh Moo-hyun has discussed ways of cooperation to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula with U-N Secretary General Kofi Annan.

Annan telephoned Roh Tuesday to congratulate him on reassuming his executive powers after the Constitutional Court overturned parliament's impeachment against him last week.

Annan vowed the U-N's active cooperation to ensure peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

In reply, Roh pledged Seoul's best efforts to support the role of the U-N in the international community.
