The Buddhist community has organized a variety of events over the weekend with Buddha's Birthday just three days away.

At the Jogyesa Temple in central Seoul, citizens joined Buddhists in a competition in which they made Buddha's image out of clay.

In the evening, some one hundred thousand Buddhists lit up the streets of downtown Seoul with lotus lanterns in an annual procession celebrating Buddha's Birthday which falls on Wednesday.
