Hawaii's bi-cameral state legislature has adopted a resolution that calls for South Koreans to enter the U.S. state without a visa.

The resolution has been submitted to Hawaii's committee for visa-exemption entry.

The resolution calls for the U.S. government to provide financial support as well as manpower to facilitate visa issuance for South Koreans. It also calls for the government to include South Korea in its travel visa exemption program.

Visa-exemption committee chief Jackie Young is to deliver the resolution to the U.S. Embassy in South Korea on Thursday on the sidelines of the 2004 Global Summit of Women in Seoul.
