The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 12-point-23 points, or zero-point-48 percent, on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-574-point-72.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also edged up, adding one-point-15 points, or zero-point-13 percent, to close at 879-point-88.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-288-point-seven won.
