The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose zero-point-62 points, or zero-point-02 percent, on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-608-point-24.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, gaining nine-point-58 points, or one-point-05 percent, to close at 923-point-72.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened five-point-two won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-265-point-six won.
