The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose four-point-51 points, or zero-point-17 percent, on Friday, to close the week at two-thousand-608-point-32.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained, jumping 29-point-95 points, or three-point-39 percent, to close at 913-point-74.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-277 won.
