National Security Advisor Kwon Jin-ho will depart for the United States Tuesday to discuss pending bilateral military issues.

During his four-day stay, Kwon is scheduled to meet with top government and congressional officials in Washington, including National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice, and Secretary of State, Colin Powell.

Kwon is expected to exchange opinions on the U.S. plan to redeploy to Iraq some of its troops in South Korea, North Korea's nuclear impasse and Seoul's plan to dispatch some 3,000 additional troops to postwar Iraq.
