The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) lost three-point-56 points, or zero-point-14 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-601-point-56.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ meanwhile rose, gaining two-point-31 points, or zero-point-25 percent, to close at 911-point-29.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened zero-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-316 won.
