A South Korean economic delegation is heading to Pyongyang for the ninth round of an inter-Korean economic cooperation promotion committee meeting.

During the four-day discussions, the two Koreas will focus on drawing up secondary agreements necessary to carry out details of various accords previously signed between the two Koreas on major joint economic projects.

Such projects include the re-linking of cross border railways and roads as well as the construction of the Gaesong Industrial Complex.

The two sides are also expected to discuss follow-up measures aimed at preventing flooding along the Imjin river, which flows southward across the inter-Korean border.

Meanwhile, a second round of inter-Korean military talks will take place on Thursday.
