The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 32-point-18 points, or one-point-28 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-537-point-68.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained, climbing 18-point-87 points, or two-point-14 percent, to close at 901-point-74.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened 17-point-one won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-322-point-six won.
