South and North Korean officials are huddling to reach an agreement Friday on cross-border economic cooperation in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang.

In their 9th such meeting ahead of the opening of a jointly-developed industrial complex in the North's city of Gaesong, both sides are looking to draft a deal that would include provisions for relinking roads across the border and setting up a South Korean liaison office in the North.

Seoul is also looking to gain special authorization from Pyongyang to allow the South's technical personnel to remain for long periods of time in the North.

South Korea's delegation will be returning home Saturday after a stopover in Beijing.
