The state-run company, in charge of developing the industrial park, said the list includes watchmaker Romanson, fasion apparel company Shinwon, and kitchen and bath fixture manufacturer Sejong Enterprise Co..
The KLC said the companies will build factories and begin operations by the end of the year.
The companies were reportedly selected because of their small space requirement, labor intensive nature and sound financial situations.
The pilot complex at Gaesong will be roughly 28 thousand pyong or 92 thousand square meters. The two Koreas will begin operations on the site by the end of the year.
