China Confirms Date of 3rd Six-Way Nuke Talks

China has confirmed that the third round of six-party talks on settling North Korea's nuclear issue will open in Beijing on June 23rd.

Ning Fukui, China's ambassador on Korean affairs, said Monday that the six-nation nuclear talks will run for three days from June 23rd, following working-level discussions in Beijing on June 21st.

The top Chinese diplomat expressed anticipation that North Korea and the United States would reap substantial progress in the upcoming multilateral negotiations.
