South and North Korea have agreed to hold the 10th round of family reunions at the North's Mount Geumgang resort for six days beginning July 11th.

The North's official KCNA news agency said Tuesday that South Korea's Red Cross chief, Lee Yoon-gu, and his North Korean counterpart, Chang Chae-on, had reached the agreement in Pyongyang earlier on Monday.

Lee, who accompanied a visiting delegation that included Markku Niskala, secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent Societies, is slated to return home on Tuesday.

Upon their arrival in Seoul, Lee and Niskala are expected to brief reporters on their visit to the North Korean city of Ryongchon, the site of a deadly train blast in April.

They will explain the damage status, restoration work, relief efforts and distribution of relief supplies underway at the train explosion site.

At least 160 people were killed and 1,300 injured in the April 22nd blast.
