A freeway in the U.S. city of Los Angeles will have an interchange named after a Korean patriot.

The christening ceremony for "Dosan Ahn Chang Ho Memorial Interchange" is set for Friday.

It's the first time a U.S. road or highway interchange has been named after a Korean national.

Ahn arrived in California in 1902 and engaged in various activities for Korea's independence from Japan over the following three decades.
