The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 26-point-49 points, or one-point-12 percent on Tuesday to close the day at two-thousand-383-point-51.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, climbing 21-point-17 points, or two-point-77 percent to close at 784-point-86.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency gained ten-point-six won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-343-point-one won.
