The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) shed 64-point-09 points, or two-point-71 percent on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-299-point-08. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, dropping 26-point-99 points, or three-point-five percent, to close at 743-point-85.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened ten-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-360 won.
