The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 21-point-02 points, or two-point-78 percent, to close at 736-point-10.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency gained zero-point-four won against the U.S. dollar to close the day at one-thousand-350-point-five won.
