The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 23-point-57 points, or one-point-03 percent, on Wednesday, to close at two-thousand-301-point-56.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, climbing three-point-13 points, or zero-point-43 percent, to close at 739-point-23.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened six-point-eight won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-357-point-three won.
