The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) shed five-point-nine points, or zero-point-24 percent, on Monday to close the day at two-thousand-403-point-76. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 14-point-89 points, or one-point-89 percent, to close at 774-point-42.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened eight-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-325-point-one won.
