The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained one-point-51 points, or zero-point-zero-six percent on Thursday to close at two-thousand-488-point-18.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining one-point-75 points, or zero-point-22 percent to close at 811-point-11.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-296-point-9 won.
