Local gasoline prices have dropped for eight consecutive weeks.

According to Opinet, the Korea National Oil Corporation's online tracker, the average price of gasoline sold at pumps nationwide fell 18-point-nine won from the previous week, marking one-thousand-641-point-two won per liter on the fifth week of November.

Diesel prices also shed 22-point-eight won to record one-thousand-585 won per liter.

Dubai Crude, which South Korea mainly imports, fell 20 cents to 83 dollars per barrel this week. International gasoline prices edged up slightly by 80 cents to reach 92 dollars 20 cents a barrel.

It typically takes about two weeks for global costs to be reflected in domestic prices.
