The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 25-point-78 points, or one-point-03 percent, on Friday, to close the week at two-thousand-517-point-85.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, climbing 17-point-17 points, or two-point-11 percent, to close at 830-point-37.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened 18-point-five won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-306-point-eight won.
