Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, says he does not expect the upcoming six-way nuclear talks in Beijing to yield major progress.

But Lavrov said Thursday that the third round of multinational nuclear discussions would not be the last, adding that what is more important is to maintain the momentum for a peaceful resolution of the nuclear standoff.

The two Koreas, the United States, China, Japan and Russia are scheduled to convene in Beijing next Wednesday for three days of discussions on settling North Korea's nuclear impasse.
