The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 33-point-52 points, or one-point-34 percent, on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-544-point-18. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eleven-point-28 points, or one-point-36 percent, to close at 840-point-59.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened 24-point-five won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-295-point-four won.
