The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 45-point-75 points, or one-point-78 percent, on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-614-point-30.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, climbing four-point-68 points, or zero-point-55 percent, to close at 862-point-98.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-298-point-nine won.
