North Korea has removed most of the propaganda devices in the region of the Dorasan Obervatory at the western border of the demilitarized zone.

An official of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said nine out of ten propaganda devices in the area, including loudspeaker batteries and propaganda signs, have been torn down as of Saturday.

The official said South and North Korea will gradually take down the remaining propaganda facilities along the 250-kilometer border by August 15th.

The move by the two Koreas is a follow-up measure to an agreement reached at two rounds of general-level military talks convened this and last month in a bid to ease military tensions along their shared border.
