The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 41-point-78 points, or one-point-six percent on Thursday, to close the day at two-thousand-655-point-28.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped, climbing six-point-78 points, or zero-point-79 percent, to close at 866-point-57.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened six-point-two won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-288 won.
