The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) shed eight-point-94 points, or zero-point-35 percent, on Friday, to close at two-thousand-578-point-zero-eight.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, gaining 12-point-zero-eight points, or one-point-39 percent, to close at 878-point-33.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened five-point-four won against the U.S. dollar, to close at one-thousand-315-point-four won.
