South and North Korea will hold working-level discussions on a proposal for their athletes to march together at the upcoming summer Olympic games in Athens, Greece.

Officials from the National Olympic Committees of the two sides will convene in Beijing from Wednesday to Friday to negotiate details related to the joint march at the opening and closing ceremonies of the August Olympic Games.

Discussion topics include the naming of the athlete delegation, a common flag and uniform and the number of athletes for the joint march.

The Athens Olympics would be the fifth time athletes from the two Koreas will march together since the 2000 Sydney Olympic games.

The two Koreas agreed upon the joint march at a meeting of the Association of National Olympic Committees held in Athens in February.
