The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 28-point-40 points, or one-point-12 percent, on Tuesday, to close at two-thousand-497-point-59.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing four-point-88 points, or zero-point-57 percent to close at 854-point-83.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened 11-point-six won against the U.S. dollar, to close at one-thousand-331-point-eight won.
