S. Korea, China, Japan to Form Joint Body for Trilateral Cooperation

South Korea, China and Japan have agreed to set up a joint body to discuss pending trilateral issues.

Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon announced the agreement Tuesday after meeting with his Chinese and Japanese counterparts on the sidelines of an annual meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in the Chinese city of Qindao, China.

The joint body will convene at least once a year, with the three countries hosting the meetings on a rotating basis.
