The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 61-point-69 points, or two-point-47 percent, on Wednesday, to close at two-thousand-435-point-90.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, shedding 21-point-78 points, or two-point-55 percent, to close at 833-point-zero-five.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened 12-point-four won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-344-point-two won.
