S. Korean Embassy in Washington Requests Safety of S. Koreans in Iraq

The South Korean Embassy in Washington met in an emergency session shortly after the news of Kim Sun-il's beheading.

At the meeting, embassy officials decided to seek cooperation from the U.S. in securing the safety of South Koreans in Iraq.

Presided over by Seoul's top diplomat to the U.S., Han Sung-joo, the meeting also studied security measures to discuss with Washington for te safety of South Korean residents, diplomats and business people residing in the United States.
