The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, shedding 12-point-47 points, or one-point-49 percent to close at 823-point-74.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-two won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-335-point-eight won.
