The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell one-point-72 points, or zero-point-07 percent on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-497-point-09.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, shedding 19-point-62 points, or two-point-four percent, to close at 799-point-24.
 
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened five-point-two won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-334-point-six won.
