The Associated Press says that a videotape showing slain South Korean hostage, Kim Sun-il, was sent to the AP Television News office in Baghdad in early June.
APTN did not broadcast the videotape since it was unclear whether Kim was being held against his will. However, the AP said it asked the Foreign Ministry in Seoul in the first week of June about Kim and was told that the government had no reports of a South Korean in captivity.
The AP said the tape was delivered to the APTN office in Baghdad by an unidentified courier. In the tape shown on YTN news Thursday morning, Kim identified himself as a 33-year-old math teacher and no gunmen were shown and no demands made.
In halting English, Kim denounced U.S. President George W. Bush as a terrorist and declared that the United States was killing the Iraqi people. Kim goes on to say he likes the Iraqi people and that they are very kind.
Kim also said the United States attacked Iraq because of oil.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said Kim may have been kidnapped on May 30th, and not June 17th, as earlier claimed by Kim's company boss.
