The tech-heavy KOSDAQ climbed, gaining eight-point-15 points, or zero-point-96 percent, to close at 853-point-30.
 
On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened seven-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-335-point-four won.
