The Washington Post says a large number of South Koreans are directing their anger over the death of Kim Sun-il not only at the Muslim militant group who beheaded him but also at the United States.
Thursday's edition of the paper said South Koreans' reaction to Kim's death is generating a fresh wave of anti-American sentiment.
The paper also said the people's reaction to the horrific incident appears to be further delineating a national split between those in favor and those against the long-standing U.S.-South Korean alliance.
