N. Korean FM Leaves for Jakarta to Attend ARF Meeting

North Korea's Foreign Minister Paek Nam-sun has departed for Jakarta to attend the 11th round of the ASEAN Regional Forum.

North Korean media reported that Paek left Pyongyang Sunday and is scheduled to meet with South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Japan's Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi on the sidelines of the regional security meeting.

The ASEAN Regional Forum is the principal forum for security dialogue in Asia. Its membership stands at 23 countries, including members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, South and North Korea, the United States, Japan and Australia.
