A squadron of U.S. F-117A stealth fighters will be deployed to South Korea to take part in military training.
Brigadier General Nam Dae-yeon, spokesman for the South Korean Defense Ministry, said the fighters, also known as Nighthawk stealth jets, will arrive in South Korea Tuesday and Wednesday to participate in a planned exercise that will last for several months.
The U.S. side notified Seoul last month of the impending deployment of its Nighthawk stealth jets to a U.S. air base in central South Korea.
