The employer of slain South Korean hostage Kim Sun-il has promised to cooperate with the government's investigation into the late Kim's case. In a press conference on Thursday, Kim Chun-ho, the president of Gana General Trading Company, explained that he made various efforts to find out the whereabouts of Kim Sun-il after he had lost contact with his employee in Iraq. After learning of his abduction, the company head said that with the help of an Iraqi lawyer, he had tried to contact a leader of the militant group suspected of Kim's kidnapping. However, he added, the situation worsened after the media reported on the abduction. Officials of the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) are expected to summon Kim Chun-ho for questioning later on Thursday.
