The Korean National Tourism Organization (KNTO) and the Culture Ministry will hold a promotional cultural event titled "Korean Wave 2004" in Beijing from July 15th to the 18th.

'Korea-China Friendship Evening' will be staged on the first day of the 4-day gala, to bring together top South Korean singers including Kangta, Lee Jeong-hyun, NRG, Dong Bang Sin Ki. The evening will also feature a fashion show sporting the cutting edge fashion sense of Korea's renowned designer, Andre Kim.

Various exhibitions to promote South Korea's culture and tourism will be held throughout the days.

The state-run tourism agency hosted a similar event in Tokyo in June.
