The Board of Audit and Inspection has summoned the former employer of slain South Korean hostage Kim Sun-il to continue probing unresolved questions surrounding Kim's abduction and murder in Iraq. Asked to verify whether the Muslim militants holding Kim captive had offered a conditional release of their hostage, the employer, Kim Chun-ho, said there had been no such deal, and asserted that he had received only a notification that the hostage would soon be released. Kim Chun-ho also denied reports that the abduction of his employee may have been related to religious issues, saying his company had not engaged in any kind of missionary work in Iraq and that Kim Sun-il's captors had not made any demands related to religious activities during purported negotiations with Kim Chun-ho and his representatives.
