Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan has exchanged views with his Kuwaiti counterpart on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation at the government and private level.

At the meeting held in the government complex in downtown Seoul Thursday, Lee and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheik Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah agreed to promote two-way investment and facilitate social and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Lee thanked Kuwait for its stable supply of crude oil and supporting South Korean construction firms operating in the Middle Eastern country in winning construction orders.

Al-Sabah, on his part, vowed his country's continued provision of crude oil and expressed Kuwait's support and cooperation toward Seoul's plan to send additional troops to post-war Iraq.

Ahead of their talks, the two prime ministers attended a signing ceremony of a South Korea-Kuwait investment treaty.
