South Korea's Unification Minister said on Monday that he would ask full support from political parties in order to increase the fund for inter-Korean economic cooperaton to at least 500 billion won. During a press briefing, Unification Minister Chung Dong-young said that the fund would shrink to as little as 20 billion won by late 2005 even if the Ministry were to secure 600 billion won this year. Chung said that considering expanding inter-Korean economic cooperation, he would propose to increase the fund to President Roh Moo-hyun as well as to political circles.
