The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) plunged 83-point-83 points, or three-point-15 percent, on Wednesday to close at two-thousand-580-point-eight, amid renewed concerns of a U.S. economic recession.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also tumbled 28-point-62 points, or three-point-76 percent, to close at 731-point-75.
