S. Korea Ranks 2nd in Int

South Korea has finished second in the overall standings at the 35th International Physics Olympiad held in the nation's southeastern port city of Pohang.

The local team won four gold and one bronze medals, finishing behind China, which took home five gold medals. Iran came in third, and the United States and Belarus shared fourth place in the overall medal tally.

Three-hundred-32 students from 73 countries around the world participated in this year's contest.
