S. Korea Marks Largest Increase in Drug Spending Among OECD Nations

South Korea reportedly registered the highest increase in spending on pharmaceuticals among the 30 member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2001.

According to an OECD report Sunday, South Koreans spend almost 40 percent more on pharmaceuticals in 2001 compared to the previous year.

The average OECD increase in expenditure by nation was two-and-a-half percent.
