Seoul, Daejeon and other inland areas experienced the first frost of the fall season Wednesday.

In Seoul and Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, the first frost was observed two days earlier than last year and nine days later than average.

Daejeon reported its first frost 16 days later than last year and nine days later than the average.

Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, saw its first frost arrive two days earlier than last year, but eleven days later than usual.

Temperatures below zero were recorded in the country’s northern regions, with the Daegwallyeong area of Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, getting the coldest at minus three-point-six degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, morning lows are forecast to range between minus three and eight degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 13 and 19 degrees.
